Each of our lenders has achieved the Certified Community Lender (CCL) designation which establishes a standard of knowledge in the field. The CCL designation requires a specific number of years of direct lending experience, the successful completion of a rigorous six-hour examination and ongoing annual continuing education requirements.

Dave Volkens, Vice President and Business Development Officer, joined Farmers Trust in 1999 after serving as president of another local Williamsburg bank for 14 years. Dave also has several years of experience working with the agriculture industry as a loan officer at Farm Credit Services. Dave is a graduate of Iowa State University and the Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.

David Malloy, Vice President and Bank Security Officer, has over 25 years of lending experience and has served our customers throughout his entire career since joining Farmers Trust in 1970. David is a graduate of Kirkwood Community College and the Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.

Jay Gruenwald, Senior Vice President and Chief Loan Officer, joined Farmers Trust in 1993 after having served seven years as Senior Vice President at Bankers Trust in Des Moines and eight years as a state bank examiner. Jay is a graduate of Drake University and the Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.
